Hunter superannuation firm, RM Group, is one of the recent users of the Careers Connect Centre, employing a Business Administration student from Belmont TAFE Campus.

Bonnie Johnson completed her Certificate III and decided to search for employment opportunities through the Careers Connect Centre where she said she was able to apply immediately for at least four vacancies.

“I decided to search for jobs through the Careers Connect Centre because I found the staff were great to talk to, they made the effort to contact
me and they encouraged me to keep trying,” Ms Johnson said.

The proprietor of RM Group, Greg Gilkison, said the business was a satisfied customer after employing Bonnie as an Assistant Fund Administrator.

“The process worked very well for us – it was personal, efficient, economical and convenient and we will be using it again. We received a number of applications and settled on our current receptionist who has proven to be very well skilled and is not phased by our office procedures or computer programs,” Mr Gilkison said.

The RM Group is based in Parry Street, Newcastle and has been in operation for more than 30 years. The RM Group provides insurance, superannuation and general financial advice.
