TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ADVERTISING ON CAREERHUB
CareerHub
CareerHub is a web-based administration system that provides an electronic communication hub between students, employers and the TAFE NSW, Hunter Institute Careers Connect Centre.
CareerHub is an online database used by TAFE NSW Hunter Institute to advertise job vacancies to students of TAFE NSW.
CareerHub reserves the right to refuse any person or organisation use of this service.
All job advertisements submitted to CareerHub must comply with national and state legislation including but not limited to misleading or deceptive advertising, non-discrimination and equal opportunity.
CareerHub is designed as an employer self-service facility.
It is the employer’s responsibility to fully and satisfactorily complete all of the required information. Failure to do so may result in the job vacancy not being accepted.
TAFE NSW Hunter Institute requires all employers to provide the following information:
The full name of the organisation or individual advertising the job vacancy.
The full name of a contact person.
The address and phone numbers (land line and mobile) of the organisation, individual or contact person.
An adequate description of the nature of the work being offered, which relates to a genuine job vacancy.
An appropriate hourly rate of pay, or the name of a relevant award or job classification (immediate-start, part-time, casual and contract advertisements only).
An Australian Business Number (ABN). The ABN is used to verify that the employer is a registered business.
Only genuine job vacancies are to be submitted. TAFE NSW Hunter Institute will not accept advertisements that are:
For work involving unpaid training, trial periods or reduced pay;
For work involving any illegal activity;
For work that is not a genuine employment opportunity;
For work paid as commission only;
Discriminatory;
Providing a job opportunity that is considered inappropriate.
TAFE NSW Hunter Institute reserves the right to withdraw or refuse any advertisement where:
Non-compliance with these terms and conditions has occurred;
Misleading or incorrect information has been provided;
Complaints about the advertiser have been received;
The job opportunity is considered to be inappropriate; or
The behaviour of the employer in his/her involvement with CareerHub is deemed by TAFE NSW Hunter Institute to be unethical.
Liability
TAFE NSW Hunter Institute will be under no liability to users and employers in respect of any loss or damage (including consequential loss or damage) which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect of services supplied by TAFE NSW Hunter Institute.
Employers agree to indemnify TAFE NSW Hunter Institute and its staff against all claims, actions, suits, costs and expenses incurred on any account by TAFE NSW Hunter Institute as a result of their advertisement.
Employers advertising on CareerHub must abide by these terms and conditions for employers. TAFE NSW Hunter Institute checks that all opportunities featured on CareerHub comply with our terms and conditions for employers, however, we do not accept responsibility for employers who provide inaccurate, misleading or false information.
TAFE NSW Hunter Institute does not necessarily recommend or endorse any organisations or service providers featured on CareerHub.
TAFE NSW Hunter Institute does not act as an agent for the employer.
TAFE NSW Hunter Institute does not guarantee the suitability of any person making application for any position advertised through CareerHub. Any employment decisions made in response to applications for employment made through CareerHub are the sole responsibility of the employer.
Employers agree that all information they provide in their advertisement and services do not breach any law or the rights of any person (including national and state legislation regarding Fair Trading, Equal Opportunity and Human Rights).
General Information
Advertisers can lodge job advertisements via the internet at any time and must be aware that all job advertisements will be approved by Job Placement Service staff at TAFE NSW Hunter Institute before being made available for access by students. Advertisements are processed Monday to Friday between 9.00am EST and 5.00pm EST, except for TAFE NSW holidays and public holidays.
TAFE NSW Hunter Institute may use employers’ email addresses to:
Update them about CareerHub
Clarify vacancy details as necessary
Alert them to other services to facilitate recruitment
Send career-related/employment notices
Undertake labour market research
Ask questions to assist in managing the CareerHub service
For liaison purposes with TAFE NSW Hunter Institute
TAFE NSW Hunter Institute is subject to the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) and will not disclose to anyone else personal information stored by users on CareerHub without their consent unless authorised or required to do so by law.
You must pay your advertisement fee and all other Careers Connect Centre payments on invoice
